Frankenstein
1.)The plot of my novel is about Robert Walton's Journey and finding the creator of Frankenstein, Victor Frankenstein and the crimes the monster has caused because of revenge against his creator. The monster has killed many loved ones of Victor and Victor has felt the guilt of creating Frankenstein. Which in the end Victor ends up dying and Frankenstein regrets his choices and decides to die as well.
2.) A theme the i thought most went with the book was guilt. Throughout the story both Frankenstein and Victor feel the guilt of the monsters creation and the monsters choice to avenge his creator.
3.) 1. "I, the miserable and the abandoned, am an abortion, to be spurned at, and kicked, and trampled on."
2."So much has been done, exclaimed the soul of Frankenstein—more, far more, will I achieve; treading in the steps already marked, I will pioneer a new way, explore unknown powers, and unfold to the world the deepest mysteries of creation."
3."I saw—with shut eyes, but acute mental vision—I saw the pale student of unhallowed arts kneeling beside the thing he had put together. I saw the hideous phantasm of a man stretched out, and then, on the working of some powerful engine, show signs of life and stir with an uneasy, half-vital motion. Frightful must it be, for supremely frightful would be the effect of any human endeavor to mock the stupendous mechanism of the Creator of the world."
The author's tone is that of disillusionment.
4.) Five literary terms that helped my understanding of the tone and themes was metaphors, similes, allusion, diction, and syntax.
1."Did I request thee, Maker, from my clay
To mould me Man, did I solicit thee
From darkness to promote me?"
2."What may not be expected in a country of eternal light"
3."I, the miserable and the abandoned, am an abortion, to be spurned at, and kicked, and trampled on"

To Facebook or Not to Facebook
The article about facebook was not at all what I expected it would be about. I had assumed it would only point out the positive effects of its use and how it has influenced our community in positive ways. What I did find surprising however was such negative impacts that it is having on young children and in the risks they are being put under. Facebook I believe isn't meant for children who aren't conscious of what the outcomes of posting pictures or statuses on facebook. These children should have protection rights and Zuckerberg shouldn't deny children of this protection. The one good outcome i found from facebook was the facilitation of finding lost friends and being able to keep up with what's going on in the world.
Who Was Shakespeare
1.www.pbs.org/wgbh/masterpiece/merchant/shakespeare.html

Even though Shakespeare's works are widely known there isn't much information about him to be found. He was born in the year 1564 which we know because of his baptism record which was on April, the 26th. There is no actual facts of the date of irthdate but can be assumed from the baptism record. Mary and John are the name of his parents and having had seven children in which only four survived adulthood. Shakespeare's father John, was a town official of stratford and local businessman. Shakespeare's mother inherited most of land for farming. We don't know for a fact that William attended school but do assume he attended a school nearby. He had three children and his only son died at a young age. Shakespreare's first works were published but he hadn't intended for them to be. The first of his works which he had approved on publishing was"The Passionate Pilgrim". It is believed he left his family for twenty years inot the pursue of his craft in London. At age 15 William purchased an expensive land named The New Place which was believed he paid for since his parents didnt leave anything for him to inherit. William wrote 37 plays and 164 sonnets. Most of his life however is a mystery not unfolded. Most of his works and plays are disputed and having no agreement on its true meanings. However, we do know that at age 18 he married Anne Hathaway, the daughter ofa farmer of a nearby town. He died in the year 1616 at the age of 52.
What students have the most difficulty in Shakespeare's works are the language that is used and the different meanings and symbols that each play portrays to an individual. Everyone interprets his works differently because we can't interview him aand ask what the true purpose of his works were.
In the beginning I was afraid to start reading Shakespeare's works because I couldn't understand what he was trying to get through. It was frustrsting looking at the book and rereading it for several minutes before i got the slightest clue about what he was trying to say. Now im more at ease with reading his work such as Hamlet because I know there isn't just one way to interpret his work and that I can have a totally different concept from the script. The language used still confuses me but I can infer much of how the words would be used now.

Notes on Hamlet
The beginning of act 3 started off when Hamlet was putting on the play for the king. Which I found interesting because he had made it known he was goin to take revenge for his fathers murder. However, I was surprised that the king stopped the play and actually felt guilt for his doings. I had believd he wouldn't have conscious for what he had done because he had murdered his brother with no regrets. Which turned out to prove me wrong. As the act goes on Hamlet kills Polonius because he had over heard his talk with his mother and took no guilt in this. Which I believe he was flustered with taking revenge that killing Polonius to him was only the start of his vengance. While he is speaking with his mother the ghost appears and is only visible to Hamlet. In which I believe it is inteded to show that the ghost only appears to those who has intended a message or of importance. The ghost presents himself many times to Hamlet now and Hamlet takes trust in what the ghost has told him because of the reaction Cladius had to the play. In this which will lead Hamlet to profil his revenge and take action against his father's murder.
In Search Of
1. What I found intresting in the video was that we are categorized and selected to see different information online. Each person can type in the same phrase or word and get totally different searches.
2.This whole thing with being categorized into groups and not being able to see outside our bubble makes me wonder what else is there out there that we can not see because it is blocked to us. What different information or how acurate ours is compared to others.
3.My one question would be if there is any way that we can see beyong our bubble or what actions can we take to see beyond our bubble.
4.I would say to an improve a search try different computers and try other resources not just the web such as newspapers or books.
I redid the search by using different terms and key words and searching many different web sites to try and find the most accurate information about shakespeare.
New Information:
Shakspere at best had only a grammar school education, and he is not known to have traveled beyond Stratford and London. He probably left the capital in his early to middle 40s, when his writing career presumably would have been at its zenith, and returned to the humdrum life of a provincial grain and property dealer. How, say skeptics, could he have accumulated the vast knowledge of royalty, court life, politics, and foreign lands–particularly of Italy, where several plays are set–woven through such a sophisticated body of work? Whoever wrote the plays and sonnets had a rare breadth of knowledge in numerous disciplines, including physical sciences, medicine, the law, astronomy, and the Bible.
. Shakspere died in obscurity and was buried anonymouslyGrain man. Shakspere died in obscurity and was buried anonymously. Six years after his death in 1616, the first edition of Henry Peacham'sThe Compleat Gentleman was published, listing the Elizabethan era's greatest poets. Heading the list: Edward de Vere, the Earl of Oxford. In this and three succeeding editions, there is no mention of Shakespeare by any spelling. Eighteen years after Shakspere's death, an engraved monument in a Stratford church shows him holding what appears to be a sack of grain. A century later, the sack became pen and paper

Tools That Change the Way We Think
Answer this not-so-simple question: How does extensive Internet/media/technology use change the way you think? Focus on your memory, your ability to concentrate, your sense of time and priorities, and the subjects/topics that interest you most. If you find "thinking about your thinking" difficult to assess, try the following strategies: compare yourself with older people who did most of their formal learning before smart phones and 2.0 existed; compare yourself with contemporaries who don't use those tools much today; read up on what education leaders and thinkers have to say about generational differences in thinking (and remember to cite your sources).
The extensive use of interet/media/technology can be a positive effect or a negative effect depending on the way you use technology etc. Having such toys like the cell phone or the internet connection helps us facilitate communicate to one another. We can be on the whole opposite side of the world and still know what is happening on the other side. These things are positve outcomes that can help prevent accidents or just that plain inform us of politics and such things. The use of technology has helped me improve and learn many knew things that would have probably taken me months to find out without the use of the internet. As well as being able to reach out to my family members who live outside the country and can't have the pleasure of seeing them. Knowing what is happening in the world is important because it keeps us up to date and since we live in a community in which we always want to be informed an up to date. However, such use has caused students and others to become lazier in doing their schoolwork or instead of meetimg someone face to face the choose such things as facebook, their cell phone or an email. Yes, it can be ok to communicate in such ways but what valuable skills are we loosing? Are we creating less socially active students who's world revolves around technology? What harm are we causing students in instituting the use of tecnology all the time? Are students being spoon feed into facilitating their lifestyles by the use of technology? I find it difficult to balance my use of technology im always on my fone and I've noticed that my grades have been affected byy my use of the fone. As well as the communication that I have with my family because I spend less and less time with them.
